Sponsorships
Reach people who follow their schools.
SchoolBoardNews readers are parents, educators, school board members and community members who follow public education news by district, state and topic. Sponsorships help keep the news free for all of them.
What a sponsorship looks like
- In the feed: one card after the third story, labeled “Sponsored” with your name, a headline (up to 90 characters), a short line of text (up to 220) and a link.
- In email digests: one labeled line at the end of the weekly, daily or real-time digest.
- You get a daily count of clicks for each placement.
Our standards
- Every sponsorship is clearly labeled and never looks like a news story. Links carry
rel="sponsored". - Text only, in our own design: no sponsor scripts, tracking pixels or images, and we never share reader information. Clicks are counted per day, without knowing who clicked.
- Readers who choose ad-free or Pro don't see sponsorships.
- Sponsors have no say over what we cover or how. We cover sponsors like anyone else.
- Because our readers include students, every message must be suitable for all ages. We don't accept political campaigns, candidates, ballot measures or political committees, or alcohol, tobacco, vaping, cannabis, gambling, weapons or dating.
- We can decline or end any sponsorship that doesn't fit these standards.
